ERICCA BROOKS

FME Podcast Staff Member

Ericca Brooks grew up in Woodbridge, VA and went to a predominately African American high school. From her hometown, and the proximity to D.C, she gained an appreciation for her culture and the history that stems from Virginia. Growing up, she was interested in the idea of news and loved the different aspects that tied into the media itself. During her junior year of high school, she decided to take journalism seriously.

In 2018 she decided to further her education by attending Virginia Commonwealth University where she majored in Mass Communications/Media Studies with a minor in African American studies.  As she progressed through her collegiate years at VCU, she expressed interest in the video and audio production of news while also narrowing down her interests to TV and radio. In April of 2021 she joined From My Experience Podcast where she continues to develop skills in editing and managing content.
